Commercial sexual exploitation in cyberspace, represented by random chat applications, clearly targets children and adolescents. Youth prostitution, in particular, often manifests as non-coercive exploitation. I believe these young individuals are victims of systemic violence rather than merely voluntary offenders selling their sexuality.

For three months, I accessed these random chat apps under the persona of a ‘girl’ aged 14 to 19, collecting the texts sent by potential sex buyers. I then visualized these messages in the form of ‘love letters.’ By addressing the reality of beings who exist not as unique identities but as objects or means for someone else’s purpose through the paradoxical and romantic lens of ‘love,’ I aim to subvert the gaze and violence of the establishment. Through this, I hope the artwork functions as a medium of independent agency and reclamation.
